Children should be cared for in groups that are as tightly knit as possible with few changes of teachers. Parents are asked to look after their children at home. For children with disabilities, the age restriction does not apply. Currently (according to the federal cabinet decision) each parent receives 30 days per child and single parents 60 days per child. However, the reimbursement amount does not correspond to the full net wage, but is lower. |

What rules apply in contact with people? |
One's own household may meet with another household, up to a limit of 5 persons. Children up to 14 years of age are exempt from this restriction. Above an incidence of 100, only one household is allowed to meet with a non-household person and the 10pm to 5am curfew comes into effect. Sports alone are allowed until midnight. Mouth-to-nose coverings (FFP-2 or surgical masks) must be worn in all publicly accessible spaces. Masks are also mandatory outdoors in high-traffic areas. Hairdressers are allowed to open under restrictions. Bookstores, flower shops and garden markets with hygiene concepts are allowed to open under restrictions. Body-related services shall be allowed under restrictions. Retail shopping will be allowed at incidence up to 150 with appointment booking and negative test, if numbers rise only click&collect will be possible. Fully vaccinated persons are to be put on an equal footing with tested persons. |
What rules apply to sporting activities? |
Individual sports are allowed alone, in pairs or with your household. From March 8 at an incidence of 50 to 100, a maximum of 5 people from two households are allowed to meet for outdoor sports. Children are allowed to meet for sports in a maximum group size of 20. If the incidence is less than 50, up to 10 people are allowed to meet for non-contact outdoor sports. Gyms would be allowed to be used on a fixed appointment basis. |

Cultural and leisure facilities remain closed, including theatres and concert halls, cinemas, amusement parks, swimming pools and fun pools. Playgrounds are open, hygiene and distance rules must be observed. |

Large cultural events are not permitted. Celebrations in private premises or in public are not permitted, as contact restrictions must be observed. If possible, staying in closed rooms with a lot of public traffic should be avoided. |

Wearing an everyday mask is mandatory on public transport. This is consistently monitored by the regulatory authorities and sanctioned if necessary. |
What rules apply in hospitals and nursing homes? |
People in need of care and sick people are particularly vulnerable in the pandemic. The regulations depend on the institutions and local conditions. Please check with the local hospitals and nursing homes. In general, these persons should not be socially isolated, therefore, recurrent visits by a defined person are allowed if there are no Corona cases in the institution.Special protective measures are taken for nursing homes. The federal government must provide protective medical masks and cover the cost of rapid tests. Testing of staff is mandatory several times a week. In order to protect the vulnerable groups, visits are allowed, but this should be limited to one permanent person if possible and a negative coronal test may have to be presented. What are the rules for visiting places of worship? |
Worship services are permitted under special hygiene conditions. Minimum distance must be maintained and masks are required throughout. Congregational singing is prohibited. If space is limited, registration is requested. If the event has more than 10 people, it must be registered at least 2 days in advance with the responsible public order office. This does not apply to religious and ideological communities that have submitted a hygiene concept. |
What rules apply to children with cold symptoms? |
Children who are clearly ill are not allowed to attend the Kita/school. If children are ill at the Kita/School, they must be picked up by their parents. In case of fever, dry cough and impaired sense of taste, the school/kita may not be entered. However, a cold without further signs of illness is no reason to stay at home. |
