When will childcare be available again?

Federal state Answer
Brandenburg Since 15 June, daycare centres have been open again for all children.
Berlin The care of all children is to take place again to the full extent.
Baden-Württemberg The daycare centres are fully open again.
Bavaria Since 1 July, all children have been allowed back into kindergartens and crèches.
Bremen Since 15 June, limited regular operations have been underway at daycare centres in Bremen.
Hesse The day-care centres in Hesse are to reopen completely on 6 July and start regular operations.
Hamburg Since 18 June, all children have again been allowed to attend the day care centres. In agreement with the funding agencies, a care of 20 hours per week, if possible on three days a week, is to be guaranteed in a limited regular operation.
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Alle Kinder können wieder in den Kitas betreut werden.
Lower Saxony Kitas open again for all children. However, the return to regular operation is not planned until 1 August.
North Rhine-Westphalia All day-care centre children are looked after again, albeit for fewer hours than usual.
Rhineland-Palatinate Kitas are open, but offer fewer hours of supervision. They should resume normal regular operations by 1 August.
Schleswig-Holstein Daycare centres can return to regular operation.
Saarland Kitas have resumed limited regular operations.
Saxony Daycare centres have switched to regular operation, but increased hygiene requirements apply.
Saxony-Anhalt Kitas befinden sich im eingeschränkten Regelbetrieb.
Thuringia Restricted regular operation applies in all daycare centres. Kindergartens are open daily for all children.
